30+
Years of Scaling
Background
Built in the Messy Middle
I spent the last 30 years scaling service companies from start-ups to private equity-backed businesses with revenues from $8M to $110M in revenue and over 500 employees across multiple countries.
The hardest part wasn’t building systems or hiring talent. It was maintaining alignment as informal communication broke down and words started meaning different things to different people.
At $8M, you resolve these collisions in hallway conversations. At $75M, they become infrastructure failures. Strategies fail in translation. Execution slows. Your best people leave.
I built the ASPIRE Framework to solve this problem—not as theory, but as the operating system I used to keep a fast-growing organization aligned through multiple ownership transitions and acquisitions.
Why I Do This Work
From Operator to Advisor
After stepping down as CEO in 2025 with a private equity-backed service firm, I founded Semantics LLC to help other service company leaders solve the same problem: how to engineer clarity into their organizations so execution doesn’t break as they scale.
I work with a small number of clients each year—CEOs, leadership teams, and PE operators who are serious about solving the clarity problem, not just talking about it.
What I know deeply, from lived experience, is how to help service company leaders build the language infrastructure that makes growth sustainable.

Let’s Work Together
If you’re navigating persistent execution gaps, misalignment on your leadership team, or the sense that your organization is slower than it should be, start with the Clarity Scorecard In 5 minutes, you’ll see exactly where semantic collisions are creating friction.
Language Is Infrastructure
I engineer clarity into service businesses so execution doesn’t break as you scale. Most operational breakdowns between $10M and $150M aren’t structural or strategic—they’re semantic.
When core business terms carry competing definitions across your organization, strategies fail in translation. The ASPIRE Framework builds the language infrastructure that makes growth sustainable.
